What did we eat in Yunnan? — My Yunnan Trip #7

I just returned from a 9 days' trip to Yunnan, China.  The trip was great, but not the food!  In fact, none of my previous China trips had food that satisfied me.  For some of my readers who don't know,  I grew up in Hong Kong which has the best Chinese food.  Cantonese food is... This is “My Glass of Elelweiss Beer – Mine!”

I never like beer. I don’t like its bitterness. But this was mine, my glass of beer that I liked.

I was having a fun trip to SALZBURG. My friend and I enjoyed very much the music and Sound of Music tour. We asked the guide and everyone: Where can we find the Edelweiss? Nowhere! Nobody had seen it. It was hot, and we were thirsty. We went back to the hotel and ordered something to eat and drink. We found it…the Edelweiss! San Francisco Palace Hotel – Historic Tour and Lunch – my favorite program for out-of-town guests

My Notebook

The Iconic San Francisco Palace Hotel

http://www.sfpalace.com/

The Palace Hotel located at 2, New Montgomery Street in downtown San Francisco, has been my favorite place to entertain friends and family who come to visit San Francisco.  The Garden Court with its stained glass dome, is spectacular.  The guests that I treated here were all very impressed, not only by the beauty of the hotel and the restaurant, but by the historic tour conducted by the volunteers of the San Francisco City Guides, a program of the San Francisco Library. http://www.sfcityguides.org/

I am posting a few pictures here to share with you.  Below is a link  to the historic photos of this hotel.  You may like to compare the then and now.
